As the partner of Mihoshi, Kiyone is always subject to the inane observations and witless comments that Mihoshi is known for.

Kiyone is Mihoshi's opposite--sensible, logical, responsible, serious, and mentally stable. She is image of the perfect Galaxy Police Detective First Class. In the TV series, Mihoshi appears in the first episode, perusing Ryoko. Kiyone appears in episode #5, looking for Mihoshi.
